New Moon and Chinese New Years Eve, Feb 13, 2010
Saturday night is also Chinese New Years Eve. One should sweep one's kitchen floor, even if it is just a little sweep or vacuum just to represent the act of cleaning. Then the first person to enter the front door after midnight, that is, Sunday morning, they will bring in the Chinese Good Luck for the year into their home. If available, you should choose to have someone older, successful, etc.(the best candidate to represent stability, success, prosperity, and strength,) to do this for you, or yourself.
Every year, a couple minutes before midnight, I have my boyfriend leave the front door to the front yard. He waits till it is for sure after midnight, a couple minutes, then enters the front door. Even he can feel or experience an energy swooshing gently through the house as he walks through each room. The Chinese say it is the Kitchen God whose energy this is and it is very lucky.
If you wear yellow or gold colored underwear at midnight, it brings money for the year. Wear the color pure RED for midnight and/or all Sunday Feb 14, 2010 for more Good Luck all year.
I'm grateful to share with you in case you'd like to know about this and try it for yourself.
It is even more special this year due to landing on Valentines Day.

PS: If you go to bed before midnight, then as soon as you wake up New Years Day Feb 14, 2010, have the person you designate or yourself leave thru the backdoor, circle around the house and enter the front door to be the first one to enter on New Years Day.
