20100207/news/302079994. After I read the article I wanted to ask you a question. 19 years ago I was in car accident and two people died. One was my boyfriend, and my first love. I feel him around me. I think he is my Guardian Angel. I wanted to know if he is? Either way that accident changed my life. I survived for a reason and I don't know why. I still have a hard time with this incident after 19 years.

Dear Christina,

First of all, I offer you compassion for the loss of your friends. What a sad experience for you to have endured, and it is to be expected that you will always have a hard time with that memory. You have been forced by life circumstances to adjust to a "new normal", that includes surviving a situation that most people cannot even imagine. How many people have survived a car accident that took the life of two people, especially when one of them was your first love? The unique aspects of this tragedy could cause you to feel very isolated. I want you to know I witness what you carry on your shoulders.
There is a reason why you survived that crash. You are a part of a soul group that survive the odds in life situations, that practically defy physics. Experience like you have endured, reminds anyone who hears these stories, that there is a Higher Power, and a Great Mystery to life. For this be grateful. What a powerful soul purpose you have.
Your instincts are correct, and it is true that your first love, who died that day, is still with you. I do see that immediately upon his death he ascended into the center of a group of Angels. He asked if he could return to Earth as a Guardian Angel for you. The Angels consulted the Karmic Board and a special dispensation was granted, and his request was honored. He is so grateful that you are alive and that he can still be with you in Spirit. Your soul and his soul purpose is join in eternal joy, as you both communicate Spirit to Spirit with the essence and innocence of a first love. My regards to your mother Kathy. It was a privilege working with her and to have the opportunity to serve you.
