17 years. He was a abusive one. I'm
so blessed that my children and I
are not living with him any more.

She reaches right in and massages the soul with Grace. What is kind of funny is that I was with my first husband for 16 years. Then I was single for 7 years. One day while looking for a house to buy a very blued man answered the door. He was visiting his parents. I told him that I had just won a law suit for having been raped by a doctor and that I was going to buy a home for my children and me. He asked me out. We got married. The song we had playing as we walked down the aisle was this song.
14 months later we were divorced. He turned out to be a con artist. I had never had credit problems before that man. He took my great credit away from me. I put his name on my credit card. I didn't watch what he was doing with it. After he ran up $18,000 he very unexpectedly left me for another woman. Before he left he told me that this other woman had firmer breasts than me. I had breast fed my children and this new, younger woman had not had children yet. It was ugly.
During the divorce proceedings I found out that he had run up the credit card. He said he would pay it. 6 months later I found out he didn't when I went to buy the children school clothing and my other account wouldn't work unless I paid the other one off. I couldn't do that! Where was I going to come up with money for that? I later found out that this "ex" of mine was a major con artist. I reported him to the police. He had done this same stunt to 3 other women. He found women who had just won law suits, were single vulnerable mothers who just wanted to me cherished and loved. I actually married the guy on February 15th with a Valentine's Day theme.
We women, "The Ex Wives Club" never got our money back but he did get charged with a misdemeaner for abusing us woman.
It was weird too because when I first met him I heard a voice in my head that said,
"Love him like Jesus would."
When he had asked me to marry me and adopt my children I thought I would finally have a family at last! I assumed that happy scenario that I longed for must have been what Jesus meant!!! I think in retrospect I had to stand up to him and teach him boundaries. Later after he was arrested his grandmother called me. She said that her grandson was a sociopath and that the family just kept being silent about how sick he was. Somebody had to love him enough to make him accountable.
After that I was determined to never wear a hat for a man again. NOT EVEN IF JESUS mentioned anything....Then Bob came into my life. The night I met him I had a dream,
"You will marry this man."
I woke up pissed. Not me I said! Ha! Never say never!
I think people received healings every time she sang it! It was definitely more like church with the HS coming through! What an empath and medium she also was huh Frannie.
(I betcha Robin and everybody was glad you posted that video!.. They just hadn't or might not have a chance to say so!)
The first time I ever heard this song (a zillion years ago) tears were streaming down my face throughout, and not a dang thing I could do about it!
Omg .. she was plugged in to the heart of all humanity and had the love of DIvine Mother to give to others too as I think she was so loved by her family, and so purely, growing up. (That helps!..gives a good start!)

James Brown comes to mind all of a sudden singing "I Lost Someone!".. that really early one when ... where he is so so sad about losing someone he truly loved. So we all lost someone when WHitney went to sing in a nicer place where we couldn't consciously go yet! I stopped everything and watched her funeral all day long. I was so so sad. We miss people we love who feel beyond our 3d field of vision and touch (even if we CAN sense them in other ways) .. well I better just speak for myself! :-)

Robin this really touches my heart. We have had our own share of animal issues in the past, and I can feel her pain. This is something I will definitely do ... thank you so much.

One of the most difficult things about growing spiritually is getting feedback on how others see you and then I need to not dwell on the negatives. I did say this morning that today all that comes my way is for my growth. Ouch! I had one emotional hit after another (from people) and have been struggling with putting it in perspective and not responding defensively and then letting the hurt go. Ouch, ouch.
If I want to work with the horses I need to be able to work with people and I had no idea I was too intense, rude, and inflexible...and nit picky.
Sigh.
I will grow. I will focus on the horses. I will be less intense...which I have no idea what that means.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 12th. I have recently been around a mother of a 4 legged who is having a very, very hard time.
Imagine that you are at the Angeles Clinic for Animals in Port Angeles, Washington and you are sitting next to a woman who is about to pick up her dog who just the day before had its leg removed due to a hit and run accident. The vet tech is going over what you need to do to take proper care of your hit and run victim dog that now has 3 legs as of only a day ago. Imagine that all this happened and you have no money to pay the vet bill but you loved your dog too much to have him put down.
As I sat in the waiting area of the vet office listening to this I had to do something. I took the woman’s hand and I said;
“What is your dog’s name?”
She replied through her tears,
“Buddy. He was hit yesterday and the people who hit him just drove off! I can’t afford to keep him here so I have to take him with me.”
I responded;
"I will pray for him."
She burst out sobbing that someone would help her like that.
When Buddy was carried out of the hospital he was actually wagging his tail to see his Mommy. Where his leg had been was the aura of his leg before it was amputated. When the vet put him down he just sat looking confused. I knew then what I would do. When Buddy and his Mommy left I donated some money to help Buddy. What goes around comes around.
Does your heart call you to take action for Buddy? Do you want to be a buddy to Buddy? Perhaps for your unique Mother’s Day gift you could donate to help Buddy. Is your mother or was your mother an animal lover? Are you? My mother is going to love this present!
Are you bothered by the cruelty of other people to other people and animals? Do something about it.

Oh Robert I didnt realize it that is great! Yes a service business is much harder. We had a heavy industrial service business. My hubby had been in the biz 20 yrs but once we put up our shingle, nothing. He had to prove himself all over again. Lots of cold-calling, free demos (we were utilizing ultra-high-pressure water as an alternative means to chemical cleaning, sandblasting etc).
I think hooking up with some contractors, trade shows, might help. And listing with servicemagic.com. A lot of people use that. Hardly anyone looks in the yellow pages any more!
That is a nice list of additional ideas. I was great at marketing other businesses (like a pizza place) where I increased sales by 50% in a year but with this business it is so much harder because someone will not call you unless they need you. With pizza a lot of families order once a week and you just have to get them to try your product and call you every week instead of the competitor.
I wanted to throw in something too. You know the free metaphyscial newspapers and newsletters that arae to be foudn in th metaphysical bookstores, health food stores, holistic spots, , come of teh chriopractors .. you name it. There are some that are next to free too.
As far as I know, some of the ads are free and or very low.. and you can put a spot about you biz in there too. ..Because metaphysical people love to find other metaphysical people to be the oes to help them with their practical everyday stuff and naturally feel a bit more kindred and trusting when they're seeking help or assistance and advice.
Don't forget you "metaphysical" "base"! That part of the population (demographic?) that would love to have you too! LEt the know that your are there and what you're doing. Wow.. betweem them, the building of new homes, knowing Karen (!) in SS who helps so much and who is so knowledgeable and experienced, and your fellow veterans (and all of us related to and loving our veterans), you could do more than alright!!
